Cretia’s to open soon with beer and wine

Cretia’s Eatery and Bake Shoppe is set to open in the next two or three weeks, serving sweets, sandwiches, specialty coffee drinks and beer and wine.

Owner Cretia Drydale closed her longstanding Duncanville shop to reopen in this 2,000-square-foot former pool hall at 228 W. Davis.

The interior features a bakery counter along one wall to feature Cretia’s cakes, cookies and other treats, plus a candy counter, where Drydale plans to offer handmade chocolates.

The menu also will include sandwiches, soups and salads, she says.

On the opposite wall is a bar, where the shop will offer beer and wine, plus coffee and espresso. Each seat at the bar has its own electrical outlet, so Cretia’s could become a spot to settle in with a latte or a glass of wine and get some work done.
