The third-annual Oak Cliff Film Festival kicks off Thursday, June 19, and runs through Sunday, June 22. Along with films, the weekend includes parties, a bike ride, music and more.
Juneteenth is Thursday, June 19, and the Bishop Arts Theatre Center has author Bernestine Singley for a 7 p.m. talk, “When Race Becomes Real: How to Get and Keep the Conversation Going for the Millennial Generation.” Tickets cost $15.
The Roomsounds perform a free show at the Foundry Friday.
Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks perform at the Kessler Friday, and Junior Brown performs Saturday.
The Winnetka Heights Street Fest, with games, children’s activities and food, is from 5-7 p.m. on the lawn at Turner House.
