This weekend: parks, ping pong, Wrecked, tollway funeral


The Dallas Parks Foundation’s annual symposium, CONFAB 2014, starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at City Performance Hall.

“Ping Pong Summer” screens at the Texas Theatre all weekend, and a ping pong tournament and dance party follow the Friday night show.

Jetta in the Ghost Tree performs at The Foundry Friday, and a Captain and Tennille cover band performs Saturday.

Wrecked, a “mini Art Conspiracy,” is from 7-11 p.m. Saturday at Life in Deep Ellum. The live auction includes includes work from more than 40 artists, and three bands will perform. Tickets cost $10.

Howie Day performs at the Kessler Theater Sunday.

Go Oak Cliff is staging a funeral for the Trinity Parkway at Oddfellows starting at 5 p.m. Sunday.
