The Wall Street Journal lead with our neighborhood movie house’s perspective (and its notorious history) in a story about screenings of “The Interview.”
As if we needed to be told that Oak Cliff if the Brooklyn of Dallas. Gawker names all the neighborhoods that are “the Williamsburg of your city,” and for Dallas it’s like, duh. Trouble is, they also name Deep Ellum as our city’s Bushwick. I take issue with that assessment. If North Oak Cliff is Williamsburg, then South Dallas and South Oak Cliff are Bushwick. Deep Ellum is more like Harlem, right?
