Kaylie House Cusick and Shannon Driscoll opened Oil and Cotton Creative Exchange at Tyler and Eighth more than four years ago. Now they are planning to move their retail shop and classes across Davis to the building that also houses Davis Street Espresso and Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters.
The current Oil and Cotton space will become studios for artists, who also will offer a few adult workshops for Oil and Cotton.
Oil and Cotton hosts a holiday pop-up shop, featuring Oak Cliff-based vendors, in the new space, 817 W. Davis, this weekend. Shop from 6-10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
The Friday event includes hot beverages from Davis Street Espresso. From 10-11 a.m. Saturday, enjoy a cup next door while the experts at Oil and Cotton help your child shop for you and wrap their gifts. Oak Cliff Creperie will be there from 10 a.m.-noon, and Austin Dupree of Girls Who Can offers a $75 cheese workshop from 1-3 p.m.
