The latest Bishop Arts District restaurant is Dallas Grilled Cheese Co., a venture that’s taking the old Book Doctor Space, next to Pho 88.
The restaurant, from partners Mack Simpson, Diana Ezzell and Glen Shank, opens Monday, Jan. 19.
They hired Stash Dallas, who designed the interiors of Oddfellows and Chicken Scratch, among others, to redesign the space. Jim Lake Cos., who owns the building, created a patio space for the restaurant amid recent parking lot and alleyway reconstruction.
On the menu, expect simple offering such as cheddar on white bread as well as any concoction of good bread, cheese and other fixins, along with local beer.
