Oak Cliff Mardi Gras starts at 10 a.m. Sat., Feb. 14, at Kidd Springs Park with Dash for the Beads. Registration costs $35 for the 5k and $25 for the 1-mile run/walk.
The after party includes live music, food and beer.
The masquerade ball, OCarnivale, starts at 7 p.m. with a buffet from Alligator Cafe. Johnny Tone of Club Wood and Ice House Band perform. Tickets cost $60.
And finally, the big parade starts at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15. Expect West Davis to be closed from Montclair to Bishop starting around 3:30 p.m. Last year’s parade was iced out, but some 8,000 spectators typically attend.
