Asleep at the Wheel performs two shows at the Kessler Friday. Ten Hands performs Saturday.

The Texas Theatre on Thursday screens “The Sweet Blood of Jesus,” a 1941 race film shot in Dallas. And then Spike Lee’s unrelated film with a similar title, “Da Sweet Blood of Jesus,” shows Friday and Saturday. Another movie filmed in Dallas, “Logan’s Run,” also shows Saturday. And on Sunday, the theater hosts a “movie awards watching party.” By the way, the Oscars are Sunday.
