House of MacGregor, our neighborhood hat maker, celebrates Valentine’s Day with a party from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, in the studio above Bolsa. Cocktails, a photo booth with photographer Elliott Muñoz, Mardi Gras mask-making and other fabulosity is planned.

Oak Cliff Mardi Gras kicks off Saturday morning with Dash for the Beads. That’s followed by OCarnivale masquerade ball at the Kessler Saturday night. And the big parade down West Davis starts at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15.

The Local Oak is throwing a parade after-party in the adjacent warehouse on Seventh near Zang. Four Corners is providing the beer, and the brewery’s house band, the Big Chief Band, performs.
