Zola’s Everyday Vintage hosts a soda tasting from 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Along with vintage clothes and accessories, the shop, which relocated to West Davis at Edgefield recently, offers “vintage” sodas.

Culturemap Dallas has the scoop on the wine bar that’s planned fro a corner space adjacent to the new Zola’s spot at the retail center formerly known as Cannon’s Village. The restaurant is called Bouchon 1314, and the chef, Jean-Michel Sakouhi, has been prolific.

You can support Special Olympics Texas by eating at Norma’s Cafe on Tuesday, May 12. Special Olympics athletes will be there between 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. collecting donations and selling merchandise.

Carnival Barker’s ice cream could open at Jefferson Tower in the next couple of weeks. Owner Aaron Barker hinted on Facebook that Waxahachie-based artist and Oak Cliff denizen Bruce Lee Webb is doing some art for the space (as seen above).
