Carnival Barker’s, the locally owned ice cream stand that recently opened its new headquarters on Jefferson and is featured in the August Advocate, now serves chili.

This isn’t like, Wolf Brand Chili, y’all. Look at Kathy Tran’s picture up there.

Kevin Chapman of Kessler Plaza is a pal of Carnival Barkers owner Aaron Barker, and he pitched his award-winning chili to the frozen treat purveyor. Barker was like, “Heck yeah, chili.”
So now, you can get hand-crafted ice cream, a root-beer float, a Cinnamon-Toast-Crunch-treat ice cream sandwich, a bowl of chili, Frito pie or a chili dog at Carnival Barkers.
