The 16-year-old mural on the North Oak Cliff Library needs retouching.
It was painted in 1999 by community volunteers overseen by Sixto and Saul de la Rosa, and it’s faded a bit over the years. So the Friends of the North Oak Cliff Library donated paint and supplies, and neighbors are invited to help restore the mural starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.
Library staff member Brenda Solis will oversee the project.
