An Uber driver with a prior weapons conviction is accused of sexually assaulting a passenger at her home in the Stevens Park area. Talal Ali Chammout, 56, was charged with aggravated sexual assault. From the Associated Press:

Court documents state that between September 2005 and December 2006 Chammout bought five Beretta pistols and also tried to buy stolen rocket launchers and technical specifications for an anti-tank weapon and Stinger ground-to-air missiles, all from a cooperating witness.

When federal agents raided Chammout’s office there found about 40 firearms, including three AK-47s and the Berettas.

It is unclear whether Chammout was authorized to drive for Uber.
