Sylvan Thirty developer Brent Jackson took the iconic sign down in April 2013, about three years after the motel itself was demolished.

Alamo_Sign_S30-1024x720-300x210As promised in May 2013, pieces of the sign will be used throughout the Sylvan Thirty property.

The yellow arrow “is being reconfigured as a sculpture” that will be installed on the lawn near the main part of the sign, Sylvan Thirty spokesman Cooper Smith Koch says.

The big “A” will be placed in the bed of the vintage truck that’s parked near Cox Farms Market.

The star at the top of the sign will be installed near that.
