Meat Fight raised more money than ever this year, which is a trend.

The barbecue competition, which draws the likes of barbecue dignitary Aaron Franklin of Franklin Barbecue in Austin as VIP guest judges, is a fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society: “Our mission is to make the lives of those living with MS brighter, and ultimately, to find a cure for MS.”

The event has grown every year since its humble beginnings in the Dallas backyard of its founder, Alice Laussade.
