An unidentified Arlington police officer who was working undercover with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement task force was shot in the hand early this morning in the 2700 block of Wilbur Street, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson tweeted that the officer was “in good condition and good spirits” following the incident.

The call came in at 6:30 a.m., although police have not shared the circumstances that led up to the shooting or what the Arlington officer was doing in Oak Cliff. Police units were on scene for several hours, but it is unclear if any arrests have been made in this case. The Advocate will update this story when more details become available.
