JOY Macarons, an Oak Cliff favorite, opened a second location at 1972 Greenville.

Liz Lanier, the macaron maker behind JOY, raved about the new Greenville location in a blog post. “We’ve long awaited the day for our second location to open and we are thrilled that the day is here,” Lanier says. “Our eyes were set on being among the amazing local restaurants and other businesses on Lower Greenville. The street has such a fun vibe and we think JOY will be a great fit. The area also has a strong neighborhood and community feel – similar to what we are accustomed to in Oak Cliff.”

The post goes on to say that the new storefront and interior design were inspired by the surrounding activity on Greenville Avenue. The large yellow glass doors and stairs feel like extensions of the street.

“We wanted to create an interesting space for customers to come and munch on macarons while watching all of the activity on the street.”

The Greenville location is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The original JOY location at 839 W. Davis in Oak Cliff will remain open.
