More town halls to come for Tyler/Polk two-way conversion

Tyler one way

City Councilman Scott Griggs will hold two more town-hall meetings in June regarding a proposal to turn Tyler and Polk into two-way streets.

The plan appeared on the City Plan Commission transportation committee’s agenda this week, but the committee held it until June 21 in order to receive more public input.

The $3.1-million proposal would give Polk two lanes of auto traffic with protected bike lanes on both sides. Tyler would have four lanes of traffic. Both would have on-street parking.

From Griggs: “If you have any additional questions or want a specific topic to be presented at one of the two meetings, please let my office know.”
