Police lock down neighborhood after shots fired Sunday

crime-scene

No one was injured Sunday morning when someone fired shots near Hampton and Davis.

Police responded to a prowler call around 3:30 a.m. in the 600 block of N. Hampton. While responding to that, they heard shots being fired nearby, Fox 4 reported.

Officers locked down the neighborhood and SWAT was called in to assist. They cleared the scene around 5 a.m.

Initial reports stated that someone had “fired on” police, but the Dallas Police Department since has clarified that they’re not sure whether anyone was shooting at them or just shooting nearby.
