I-30 ramp from Sylvan to be closed until spring

Our commuting woes continue.

The Interstate 30 on ramp from Sylvan is expected to be closed for about six months.

The Texas Department of Transportation is looking for ways to reopen the ramp sooner. According to City Councilman Scott Griggs, they’re “looking for ways to advance the mainlane paving and the bridge construction to provide more room for a longer merge distance for the ramp and hopefully open the ramp sooner.

In the meantime, alternatives to getting onto I-30 eastbound include the entrance from Fort Worth Avenue. Find other alternatives in the map above.
