“Men’s Journal” magazine named Cheesesteak House, on West Davis at Marlborough, among its list of “The 10 best cheesesteaks that aren’t made in Philly.”

The no-frills restaurant, sandwiched between a convenience store and a Rastafarian shop in a little strip center near St. Cecilia Catholic Church, is listed among New York City’s Shorty’s and Primanti Bros. in Pittsburgh.

Cheesesteak House is noted for importing its bread from Philadelphia. And they use chile con queso instead of Cheez Whiz. The magazine screws up the location, stated as “West Davies,” and it doesn’t mention Oak Cliff, but we know where to get the good stuff.
