There’s no rain in the forecast so far, so the Trinity River Wind Festival looks like a go.

The free festival, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, celebrates the Trinity River and the power of wind.

A free bike ride starts at 9 a.m., and a 4.5-mile run starts at 11. Register for the run here.

Several kite-flying teams will perform. The Blackland Prairie Raptor Center brings birds of prey, and the Dallas Zoo presents animals. There will be bounce houses, face painters, kite giveaways, seed bombs, food trucks and more.

The festival was flooded out four times in 2014-2015, making this the city’s first wind festival since 2013.
