Streetcar hours to serve morning commuters and night owls

Among neighbors’ chief complaints regarding the streetcar has been its hours hours.

Currently, the cars run every 15 minutes Monday-Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to about midnight, which doesn’t serve morning commuters. That’s an improvement over the opening hours, which were 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, which left Bishop Arts diners to their cars.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 24, the cars will begin new hours: 5:30 a.m.-midnight, Monday-Sunday. Now you can make it to court on time and still have dinner in Oak Cliff.
