303 Bar and Grill
A restaurateur is planning to build her third restaurant in Bishop Arts.
We reported last week that a building permit was pulled for a restaurant between Calvario Funeral Home and Stock & Barrel restaurant.
The owner of 303 Bar and Grill and Pier 247 confirmed she is planning a third restaurant with a parking lot on the site.
Celia Lopez says she hasn’t settled on a concept yet, but she is planning a 2,800-square-foot restaurant with 28 parking spaces on a 6,250-square-foot lot. The space currently is a parking lot, and previous to that, there was a parking lot and an 88-year-old warehouse that Calvario tore down about a year ago.
Lopez opened 303 in a renovated house on Davis at Madison in 2012. She opened Pier 247 in a redone gas station across Madison a couple of years later. This is the first new construction for Lopez, who also owns a bar in Uptown. She says she expects to start building the new restaurant next year.
