Trompo, the barebones West Dallas taquerÃa that made Bon Appetit’s list of the 50 best new restaurants in America, is adding an Oak Cliff location.
Owner Luis Overa is renovating a former house at 213 W. Eighth in the Bishop Arts District, Central Track reports.
The new location will be called Trompo 42 and will have a beer and wine bar and patio. It could open early next year. Olvera told the news website that he will keep the Singleton location open but will changed the hours, once the Bishop Arts location opens, to 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
In other taco news, the Dallas Observer reviewed Maskaras, a new wrestling themed taquerÃa on Kiest at Hampton. The owners are former telenovela star Rodolfo Jimenez and his wife, Vanessa.
