Rex Tillerson invested in Sylvan Thirty

Former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson testifies before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee today.

Tillerson, who stepped down from ExxonMobil recently, is president-elect Trump’s pick for Secretary of State.

Tillerson also has ties to our neighborhood. His federal ethics disclosure documents show he invested about $1.5 million in Sylvan Thirty, the mixed-use development of apartments and retail, which now houses Taco Deli, Houndstooth Coffee and Cox Farms Market.

The Dallas Business Journal reports that Brent Jackson of Sylvan Thirty developer Oaxaca Interests “connected a network of high-profile wealthy investors for the project, but they have not been disclosed.”
