The tiny park in the Kings Highway neighborhood has a bus stop shelter, a big shade tree and some landscaping. It’s nice, but neighbors want it to be functional.

That park, in a neighborhood teeming with hip young parents, could serve as a toddler park and become a gathering spot, instead of being just the prettiest bus stop in Oak Cliff.

The neighborhood association is teaming up with the Better Block for an event at the park April 1. But previous to that, they want to gather input from neighbors.

As such, they’re having a community block-walk at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. There will be donuts, coffee and juice.
