There are so many immigrant-owned businesses in Oak Cliff that’s it’s hard to imagine a world without them.
Most were open today during the “day without immigrants” national strike. But a few closed in solidarity.
El Padrino TaquerÃa on Jefferson is closed, and so is El Rancho Supermercado. Many restaurants are open but short-staffed.
In addition to that, students at Molina High School in Oak Cliff walked out of classes today in a show of support for immigrants’ rights.
