Selena day returns to Oak Cliff next weekend.

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center, Sour Grapes and Faded Deejays present an art show, Selena impersonation contest and car show at our neighborhood’s Selena shrine, Country Burger, from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 25.

Arturo Donjuan of Sour Grapes and artist Ponchaveli will unveil a Selena mural that will cover the entire southern wall of Country Burger.

That night, the Faded Deejays and DJ Noe G throw a Selena party at Club Dada.

This is the fourth consecutive year for the Oak Cliff Selena celebration, called #214Selena. Get in the mood by watching this video that Selena filmed in Oak Cliff in 1987.
