Liza Marie Saenz was found dead in the Trinity River

The Dallas Police Department is looking for information on the death of a woman who was shot and dumped into the Trinity River on March 11.

Liza Marie Saenz, 30, died of a gunshot wound around 11 p.m. The Dallas Police Department found her in the river near the Santa Fe Trestle Trail.

A media release from the Dallas Police Department states:

…gunshots were reported at 220 Santa Fe along the bank of the Trinity River. Dallas Police officers responded to the listed location and found the victim, Liza Marie Saenz, in the river shot.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Saenz’s body was discovered by boaters and that police thought she’d been shot multiple times and then dumped in the river.

Saenz lived in Dallas but was from Aransas Pass. She had two children and was a homemaker, according to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.
