It’s also David Lynch weekend at the Texas. They’re offering the autobiographical documentary “David Lynch: The Art of Life” as well as “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me,” the short films of David Lynch and “Lost Highway.”

The Wild Detectives hosts a night of local experimental music with Sarah Ruth, Black Taffy, and Black Doll. It starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Oak Cliff’s own Edie Brickell and New Bohemians are playing a three-show stand at the Kessler this weekend, but it’s sold out.

Lindsay Hightower performs at The Foundry Friday, and Roxy Roca takes the stage there Saturday.

The North Oak Cliff Library offers toddler story time at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. And the Hampton Illinois Library offers family story time at 2 p.m. Saturday.
