The house, at 1019 N. Bishop, is owned by John N. Crowder Jr. and Deborah Swann of Collin County. A call to their home landline received no answer Monday.

The 3,800-square-foot building contained four apartments. The owners pulled a permit in April to install new flooring. The house appears to have extensive damage.

The property is within the Bishop/Davis zoning, PD 830. That zoning allows for the owner to build apartments or townhomes, a duplex, a single-family home or a church. A new building on the site could be up to 38 feet high, and its facade could be placed as close as 20 feet from the curb.

The building is outside the bounds of a new demolition delay overlay, which requires a hearing before certain old properties can be demolished.
