City Council last year approved the move to restore the neighborhood thoroughfares to their previous form.

We know there are plans for a roundabout near Kidd Springs Park and a light near Page Avenue. Early plans also showed Tyler as a four-lane roadway with on-street parking allowed. Polk would have only two lanes with 5-foot bike lanes on either side of the street, an 8-foot parallel parking lane on one side and a 1.5-foot door buffer between bikes and parked cars.

See the city’s latest plans for the conversion from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Kidd Springs Park Recreation Center.
