Two fatal crashes in Oak Cliff last week

Two men are dead after separate car crashes last week.

A 29-year-old man, Courtney Goodwin, died on Groveview Lane, near Kiest Park around 9 p.m. Wednesday. His motorcycle collided with a pickup truck that was leaving an apartment complex. Police say Godwin might’ve been racing another vehicle. No criminal charges have been filed.

A 38-year-old man, Saul Cerritos, died around 2:20 a.m. Sunday near Mountain View College when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a utility pole. Police say he was speeding when he lost control and over-corrected. The man wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
