Bánh Mì Station is expected to open sometime this year. Construction on a 1,440-square-foot space facing Sylvan Avenue could start in April.

Coevál Studio is designing the sandwich shop’s interior, which “will embrace a French and industrial style that conveys the nostalgic feel of a train station,” according to a media release.

The owner is Kevin Vivorakij, who owned The Bowllery in Denton.

Besides bahn mi, the restaurant also will offer steamed buns and sides including Thai curry mac and cheese, papaya salad and pulled pork kimchi fries.
