A car collided with a DART bus this morning, injuring three and killing the driver of the car.

The route 405 bus was traveling south on Polk Street after midnight when a Dodge Charger ran the light at Twelfth Street and hit the rear left side of the bus, WFAA reports. The the impact caused the bus to turn onto its side.

The bus driver and two passengers were taken to Methodist hospital with injuries.

KDFW reports that the driver was 20-year-old Jaime Salazar.

That TV station also spoke to witness Pedro Torres:

“At first we couldn’t see who was inside. We just heard somebody screaming, ‘Help! Help!’ And my cousin broke the windshield to get the lady out. Turns out there was two passengers … The bus lady was stuck in the in the chair by the seatbelt so we tried to help her up and tried to unbuckle her.”
