The Oak Cliff Lions Club received a farmers market permit from the city of Dallas, and the club is organizing a market from 8 a.m.-noon the first Saturday of every month in the parking lot in front of Cliff Temple Baptist Church.

The permit requires that at least 51 percent of the vendors sell food. So far, a few food vendors have signed up, including Casa Masa tamales and Jake ‘n’ Bake cookies, says John McCall of the Lions Club. As the weather warms up,”we hope to see people out there with their fresh eggs and garden vegetables,” McCall says.

Booths at the market cost $45, and vendors bring their own tables and tents. To book a space, contact McCall at john@attorneymccall.com
