“Our little shop is growing and we will be transitioning to a new location later this year,” Whose Books owner Claudia Vega notes in the post. “This will allow us to offer more of the community programming you love.”

Based on a previous Advocate story, Vega spent 20 years working in public education, but owning a bookstore had been a dream of hers for as long as she could remember.

She credits other Oak Cliff bookstores with helping Whose Books get off the ground. In fact, Vega and her husband, John, ironed out many of their plans to open the shop at The Wild Detectives, a bookstore just a couple miles away (and even closer to the new location) she told the Advocate.

Vintage resale shop Good Cycle, previously located on Tyler near Davis, has relocated to 1511 Main Street, inside Unbranded.

In a post on Instagram, owners indicate appreciation for the Oak Cliff community and clientele.

“We want to start by saying THANK YOU for an amazing 2 years in this space! There have been so many beautiful memories created here and we’re blessed to have been able to live out our mantra of creating the things we wish existed at 413 N Tyler st.🧡”
