Restaurant roundup: Islay dinner, cooking classes, pie, tacos and beer

Bolsa hosts an Islay whiskey and gin dinner Tuesday, Oct. 14. The five-course meal with pairings from Bruichladdich Distillery costs $65 per person. Call 214.367.9367 for a reservation.

Blythe Beck, who is the new chef of Kitchen LTO, offers cooking classes, “Naughty 101,” on Sundays in November and December.

Gmo Tristan, who lives in Oak Cliff, will be executive pastry chef at a new Lower Greenville restaurant called Remedy. Pie and sundaes are on the dessert menu.

The Taco Trail and Four Corners Brewery are teaming up for taco night. The Nov. 6 event features tacos de trompo from four of Oak Cliff-based writer Jose Ralat Maldonado’s favorite taquerías. Tickets cost $25 and include a taco from each vendor and four Four Corners beers.
