But the owners of a new pet-oriented business in Oak Cliff offered to put the mural on their building.

The Petropolitan opens a location at 2406 Emmett this weekend. The owners, Chris Watts and Todd Fisher, live in Oak Cliff and opened the first Petropolitan in Downtown in 2006.

They agreed to let artists Joachim West and Teresa Megahan create the “balls are for fetch” mural on their building. They plan to start painting at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, as part of the Petropolitan’s grand opening, which also includes a low-cost microchipping clinic.
