Two women were arrested Saturday night after they were accused of punching and kicking people at a valet stand in the Bishop Arts District.

Amy Witherite, a 50-year-old personal injury attorney who lives in Lakewood, and her wife, 56-year-old Barbara Witherite, were charged with assault and taken to jail.

A valet driver told police that the fracas started after Amy Witherite emerged from a restaurant and said “Where the [expletive] is my car?”

She was mad that her 2017 Mercedes S550, a car whose retail value starts at $96,600, wasn’t parked in front of the restaurant, according to a witness statement. When a valet employee said he would pull the car around, Witherite allegedly punched the man and smashed a glass in another person’s face. Barbara Witherite also is accused of punching and kicking valet employees and bystanders.

Several people caught the incident on video.

Amy Witherite told the Dallas Morning News she is embarrassed and wants to handle the consequences “as responsibly as I can.”

I got upset at something I should have never gotten upset at. And it’s on me. It started over something trivial, and I shouldn’t have allowed it to happen.

Amy Witherite was charged with three counts of misdemeanor assault; her wife was charged with four counts of misdemeanor assault and one count of interfering with an emergency call. They were arrested and bonded out of the Dallas County jail Sunday morning.

This incident happened in Oak Cliff and they still acted like spoiled brats. If they want to do that kind of thing, the PATRONIZE (better?) North Dallas. We don’t want or need that kind of stuff here!

ROFL Nothing like good representatives of our neighborhood. If you’re going to act like a spoiled brat, which, evidently you are, take you $96,000 car and move to North Dallas. We don’t want or need that kind of stuff here! That is NOT Oak Cliff!
