Fire destroyed two apartment buildings on North Ewing Tuesday.

It took 100 fire fighters two hours to put out the four-alarm fire, which started around 6:45 p.m.

No one was injured. One building housed at least eight people, and the other was vacant.

KTVT reports that the fire started in the vacant building and spread to the adjacent building. Power was cut to some surrounding buildings for a few hours.

The fire created a huge plume of smoke that could be seen from miles away.
