Cretia’s moves, wine bar to open at Bishop and Seventh

Cretia’s, the bakery that took over the old Nodding Dog space at Bishop and Seventh almost three years ago, has moved to a smaller space across the street, near Lockhart Smokehouse.

Cretia’s vacated the larger space so that it could be turned into a wine bar with outdoor seating and TVs for watching sports. It looks like they are under construction installing counter tops at the windows, similar to what Oddfellows has. An alcohol permit was filed in August.

Why does every place need TVs?  It ruins the atmosphere.  And why can’t we get a place with a nice Scotch selection in Oak Cliff? It’s always wine, wine wine. It makes me whine whine whine.

Thanks for the comment. I hope you attend the occasional Bishop Arts Disctrict whine walk. What bar in Dallas has a good Scotch selection, by your standards? The former dentist office at West Davis and Edgefield is begging to be a pub.

Too bad Jill and Roger of Inforzatos couldn’t have gotten in the space.  Some of the best food in OC that most aren’t willing or don’t know to make the walk around the corner from BAD.  Haven’t we met our quota for wine bars by now?

    TV’s are for idiots
    No thanks

@MH I love Inforzato’s! Their food is on the cover of the November Advocate.

I agree. Is there a Scotch bar in Dallas? We miss Harry’s in Kansas City: they have a Scotch menu, with pages of selections of unblended Scotch.
