$5 admission to zoo during ‘Penguin Days’ through February

We can't promise Delonte West will be there holding penguins, but it's still a good deal.

Admission to the Dallas Zoo is just $5 during “Penguin Days,” that is, every day in January and February.

There are sure to be some pleasant days between now and March, but even if not, there are plenty of indoor attractions at the zoo, including Bug U, the herpetarium and the Jake L. Hamon Gorilla Research Conservation Center.

The zoo reports that some 880,000 people attended the zoo last year.

Parking at the zoo costs $8.
