The book about Oak Cliff by Bill Minutaglio and Holly Williams is out of print, and used copies are selling on amazon.com for $75 or more. But the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League is preparing to reprint the book about our neighborhood’s history, and at a recent meeting, decided on a new cover.

League member John Stolly of John Stolly Design redesigned the cover, retouching an old photograph of Canon’s English Village at Edgefield and Davis, which is still standing today. Another Oak Cliff historian and writer, Alan C. Elliott (who most recently co-authored the book "Images of America: Oak Cliff"), often refers to "The Hidden City" on his oakcliff.com FAQ page, noting that it is "the best source of information" on Lake Cliff’s turn-of-the-century amusement park.
