This weekend: SRV, last-chance sno cones, music

The anniversary of Oak Cliff native Stevie Ray Vaughan’s death is Friday. He died 20 years ago, Aug. 27, 1990. Check out Advocate columnist Gayla Kokel’s column about Vaughan in our September issue, which includes a picture of him as a teenager. Whatever you do this weekend, there’s something to talk about.

Aunt Stelle’s closes for the season after Saturday. Get ’em while you can.

The Kessler has Ruby Jane and Luna Matto Friday and El Cento and Orange Peel Sunshine Saturday.
