Norma’s Celebrates Texas Independence Day

Texas turns 175 this year, and to celebrate the monumental occasion, Norma’s Café will serve three specialty meals on Wednesday, March 2. The restaurant will also serve pecan pie– a Texas staple– for only 99 cents. While you’re there, be sure to pick up its newest offer, a 12-ounce bag of either ground or whole bean coffee for $7.99.

The Texas themed dishes include:

Texan Platter—three shredded and smoked brisket tacos in corn tortillas topped with fresh cilantro and onion and served with two sides for $9.99

CFS with the San Jacinto Upgrade—chicken fried steak served with Texas chili, cheese, onions and jalapenos served with three sides for $7.99

Double Barrel Chili Dog—two open faced  ¼ pound, 100 percent beef hot dogs, topped with chili, cheese, onions, jalapenos, served on Texas toast with fries for $7.99.
