La Reunion TX calls for artists, high school students

La Reunion TX is adding a program for high school boys in its fall artist/student mentor program and art show, Art Chicas.

Art Chicas and Art Chicos is seeking 32 high school students — 16 girls and 16 boys — and eight artists to participate in the program.

The students will work on Saturdays in October at La Reunion’s 35 acre campus, in West Oak Cliff, to learn about making art and careers in art. The students create work inspired by the campus, and those are put on display in an Oct. 29 show for family, friends and La Reunion supporters.

La Reunion also is seeking financial supporters for the programs. Donate $350 as a mentor supporter or $50 as a student supporter. More information is available at lareuniontx.org.
