Volunteers rebuild Oak Cliff house after fire

This past summer, 85-year-old Vernon Freeman lost his house in an electrical fire. Luckily, no one was injured, but the fire left Freeman without a home.

So volunteers, who connected on Facebook, began rebuilding Freeman’s house for him.

Advocate editor Christina Hughes Babb brought us this video from the construction site.
