Pier 247, a new restaurant from the owners of 303 Bar and Grill, is under construction at West Davis and Melba.

photoCity Councilman Scott Griggs confirmed the rumor last week that Big Lots is planned for the old Minyard’s store on Fort Worth Avenue at Hampton.

Corinth Properties last week explained a plan to transform the 20 acres along Fort Worth Avenue at Colorado, the site of the former Colorado Place Apartments. Corinth principal Frank Mihalopoulos told the city’s Urban Design Peer Review Panel that he is planning a 70,000-square-foot grocery, 30,000 square feet of restaurants facing Fort Worth Avenue, 280 apartments and 70 townhomes. The project is called The Avenue.

The building under construction on West Davis at Madison is a new restaurant, Pier 247, from the owners of 303 Bar and Grill.
